✅ How to Work With an Adjuster

📞 1. Expect a Call or Email

Once your claim is reported to the insurance company, a claims adjuster will be assigned.

You should hear from them within 1–3 business days, expect longer during high claim times. If you don’t, let us know—we’re happy to follow up on your behalf.

📋 2. Be Prepared

Before speaking with your adjuster, gather the following:

  • Your policy number (you’ll find it on your documents or in your client portal)

  • Photos or videos of the damage

  • A brief description of what happened

  • Receipts or estimates, if available (especially for auto or property repairs)

🗣️ 3. Tell Your Story Clearly

Be honest and detailed. Share:

  • What happened

  • When and where it happened

  • Who was involved or witnessed it

This helps the adjuster determine what coverage applies and how quickly they can help you.

📅 4. Keep Track of the Process

We recommend keeping a simple claim log:

  • Dates of all communications

  • Who you spoke with and what was discussed

  • Any documents you’ve submitted or received

This makes it easy to reference if there’s a delay or confusion.

🧾 5. Don’t Start Repairs Just Yet

Unless it’s to prevent further damage (like tarping a roof), wait for the adjuster to inspect the damage before making major repairs. Keep receipts for any emergency services you pay for.
